Art in the Wild

Join Us at Art in the Wild!

La Crosse Adventure Film Fest is proud to partner with local artists Joshua Doster and Landon Sheely for Art in the Wild! Sponsored by Pump House Regional Arts Center Be Green Project and La Crosse Area Community Foundation, we're excited to bring this to you.

On October 19th and 20th, head up to the weather ball at Upper Hixon to witness a unique artistic experience. Watch as old bicycle frames are repurposed and welded into a towering sculpture, complete with a giant puppet skeleton rider. Don’t miss this amazing fusion of creativity, sustainability, and adventure.

Work will be happening all day Saturday and final installation on Sunday. Come chat with the artists, watch their creative process in-action, ride tall bikes around the parking lot loop and enjoy some time outside on the trails. See you there!

*No RSVP needed!

Adventure Week in our Classrooms

Play is an adventure! Adventure IS play!

We’re excited to connect with local teachers and classrooms to encourage freeplay during the AF - Adventure Festival week.

We know how busy teachers are and how much you need to cover each week! By no means should this be an extra piece or stressor for you!!! However, if it feels right and gives your students a unique experience for the week, we’d encourage implementing as many ideas as you see fit.

If a classroom participates during the week, we’d love to see your photos and hear your reflections! Here are some ideas and resources to help teachers implement freeplay and adventure experiences.

**We are working on some grants to provide participating classrooms some money to use for future adventures! 🤞

A HUGE thank you to

Briana Harris from Coulee Kidspace

and Josh Hein from ORA Trails

for building this idea and creating ideas to share!
